Grootdroom is a beautifully built, self-contained holiday chalet on the banks of a dry riverbed in the Nuweveld Mountains. It sleeps 3.

A 12-volt solar system covers all its electricity needs, including the lights and fridge. Inside are two showers and two toilets with hot water from a gas geyser. Under the deck, two outdoor showers run on a solar geyser, with a “donkie” for cloudy days.
